The foundation of DUMETA® was laid in the early 90s in a small “hobby” workshop on a farm in Saasveld, the Netherlands. The company was run by the brothers Jos and Reinier Lotgerink under the name “Gebr. Lotgerink ”. All kinds of work were carried out, varying from machine repairs to construction work and custom-made handwheels.

Due to growth, the company moved to Oldenzaal in 1997. Jos Lotgerink, who was running the company alone at the time, was always looking for machines that would make the DUMETA® production more efficient and safe. He recognized the increasing demand for similar machines in the market. Therefore, DUMETA® specialized increasingly in welding mechanization and automation solutions.
